My Favorites

First off, I know this is posted under Favorites Friday and yes I know it's Saturday. This probably won't be the first time I do this just to warn you lol

Okay so on to the favorites (yay!)

First I have a body mist.

This is the Victoria's Secret PINK warm and cozy body mist. This stuff smells soo good. The bottle describes the scent saying that it's "toasted vanilla and peony" and that is exactly right. It's a simple scent and it smells really feminine and pretty. If something can actually smell "girly" this is it. A plus is it's not really expensive like some other scents I've tried. This bottle was only $8.00 and I LOVE it. I wear this every day!

My next favorite this week is the L'oreal Colour Riche balm in Caring Coral. I don't think the picture does this color justice. It's a really pretty coral-y orangy color. It looks really nice on me even though I have a dark skin tone. It glides on very smooth and it lasts a fairly okay amount of time. I found that I have to apply it a couple of times throughout the day, but I'm okay with that. If you're looking for a really nice coral colored lip product you should check this one out.

The last favorite I have for you guys is the hair, skin, and nails gummies by Nature's Bounty. These are so tasty! For some reason I didn't expect for these to taste so good. Me and my sister have been taking these. My sister has been taking them a lot longer than me and her hair and nails grew longer in a shorter amount of time. I've started taking them now and I do notice a little bit of a difference, but I'm going to continue to take them and maybe update you guys on how it's going. Since these are vitamins, before taking these you should consult with your doctor or read the label and make sure it's something you should be taking. You don't want to have a negative reaction to this and I'm not a doctor so I can't recommend them for everybody. Anyway, I do like this gummy vitamins and I know it actually does help.

Thank you guys for reading. I hope you enjoyed my favorites for this week.

Check me out on all of my social media and my YouTube channel. Make sure to check back here for another post soon and I will talk to you guys later. Bye!!!! xoxo

5 Beauty Related Things You Can Do With Vaseline

Do you have an old jar of Vaseline just sitting around your house? Well, I was using Vaseline this morning and thought about all of the useful tips I've gathered over my short amount of time here on earth about the wonderful uses a simple jar of Vaseline can provide. So, thankfully for you I've written them all down for your reading pleasure lol

Here they are:

1. Apply a little Vaseline to your lips.
The first one is pretty obvious and the one that most people know about is just put it on your lips. I do this every single day and it has prevented me from getting chapped lips. It even comes now in tiny  jars and tubes made specifically for the lips. Just to let know, it's exactly the same stuff it's just way more convenient to carry around in your purse than a huge jar. My lips are sooo much softer and my lipsticks and lip glosses go on a lot smoother now.

2. Use Vaseline on your Cuticles
Every Saturday I put a little bit of Vaseline on my Cuticles resulting in me having softer and more moisturized hands. My nails also grow quicker and stronger.

3. Vaseline and perfume
The first time I tried this I wasn't so sure it was going to work for some reason, but it does. Put a little Vaseline on the parts of the body that you usually put your perfume on and the scent will last longer.

4. Mascara
If you put a coat of Vaseline on your eyelashes they will grow longer and fuller resulting in some beautiful lashes. If you want to you can also just put this on everyday in place of mascara. Not only will your lashes be healthier but they will also look slightly darker and it won't be clumpy.

5. Softer skin
Now, this one might go without saying, but Vaseline is also a great moisturizer. I have the DRYEST skin in history so I wholeheartedly stand behind this product. I put this on the heels of my feet, the front and backs of my knees and elbows too. I love the stuff! My feet look 100x better than they did before.

You should try some of these tips out (or all of them) and let me know in the comment section of this post any tips that work well for you :)

Alright. have a wonderful day!  xoxo

Blog Photos

For those that have saw any of my blog posts and the people that will see my future blog posts, I am very sorry about the quality of the photos on my blog. For now, I have to use my phone in my dimly lit house. I am currently saving up my money for a better camera, but unfortunately I don't think I will be able to afford one for a while. So until then the pictures will be on the crappy side. Sorry about that.      xoxo

Recipe: Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Anybody that knows me really well knows that I looooove pasta. Most of the time when it's my turn to make dinner, I make pasta. The latest dish I made were these delicious pasta shells stuffed with this delicious spinach and cheese mixture. I saw this tasty recipe from pinterest. It looked so good I had to try it and I don't regret it at all. It was fairly easy to make and everybody in the house enjoyed it. Since that was the case, I thought I would share it so you guys can enjoy it too.

Ingredients
  • 24 Jumbo pasta shells (I didn't end up having enough mixture to fill all 24)
  • 1 15-oz Container of ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan
  • 1 10-oz package of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 large egg
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • pinch of ground nutmeg (I didn't use the nutmeg when I made this because i didn't have any. Oops!
  • 1 26-oz jar of spaghetti sauce
Preparation
  1. First, you want to go ahead and preheat your oven to 375 deg. and spray a 9 by 13 inch baking pan with cooking spray. The next part is really easy, just boil the pasta by the directions on the box the shells came in. After, just drain them and leave them on the counter to cool.
  2. During or after the pasta cooks, make the filling for them. In a big bowl put the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella, shredded Parmesan, chopped spinach, egg, salt and pepper Italian seasoning, and nutmeg.
          3. For the next part, take 3/4 cup of the pasta sauce and spread a even layer of it in the bottom of the baking dish. Now, for the fun part. It is time... to.... start the process of.... filling THE PASTA NOODLES! I don't know why, but I really enjoyed doing this part.

                 Pic 1                                                    Pic 2                                                    Pic 3

After the shells are stuffed, put them on top of the spaghetti sauce (Pic 2). Then spread the remaining pasta sauce over the shells (pic 2), and then top everything with the mozzarella cheese (pic 3).

          4. Cover the baking dish with foil and place in the oven for 35 min. After the 35 minutes are up, take off the foil and place back in the oven for the last ten minutes until the cheese is bubbly and begins to brown.

Note: I didn't use foil because I was out so the cheese may be a little brown, but it didn't alter the taste at all.

After that, you are left with this delicious pasta dish that everyone will love. I hope you guys enjoy this meal as much as I did. I'll be back with a lot more posts soon.

    Favorites Friday

I feel like September just started and it's already coming to an end. Fortunately, the lovely season of Autumn is here to sit back in and enjoy. I thought I would do something fun today and start a series on my blog called Favorites Friday. I know I love reading these kinds of blog posts, seeing what other people love and discovering new products in the process. So here we go. Starting off with the first category...

    Fashion

The first item I on the list are these shorts from Old Navy. These are comfortable and a very pretty almost seafoam green color. I don't think the horrendous camera I have picked up the color very well. But these shorts are super cute on and they didn't break the bank either. They do look pretty ugly in the picture don't they? *sigh* I promise that it's just the camera

    Yummy in the Tummy

    2. Yep, I'm lovin' the pirate's booty. It is so GOOD! They little baked snacks that remind me of cheetos except they're made with aged white cheddar instead and they taste about 1,000 times better! Really, they are so good AND they are all natural AND gluten and trans fat free. As soon as you try it your life is going to be forever changed. Sounding pretty good right now huh? I know, I know... Nobody can resist the pirate's booty.

    Makeup

Number 3 is the Revlon Colorstay liquid eye pen. This makes putting on liquid eyeliner easy. The tip is super small so making a thin or think line is really simple. I've been using this for a long time and I still love it. Yes, it's really that good.

Stuff that makes you smell good

The last thing on my list is this bath and body works hand lotion in the scent Vermont sugar maple. It smells like cookies, cake, love, and happiness. The scent actually makes me very happy. I've had it for a long while and i'm almost out of it, but every time I go back to the store I can't find this same scent. It must be a seasonal item and i'm praying and hoping that next fall it will be there. No joke Bath and body works. I will be looking for this scent and you better have it, or there will be a girl on her knees in the middle of the store weeping.

Okay, well that's it for my favorites. I promise you next time that I will try and pick better things. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'll post again soon!
